Cookies and browser storage

viduciatools.com runs no analytics, tracking or advertising scripts. Signing in uses two cookies that are strictly needed for it, and a few things are kept in your browser’s own storage so the site can remember your draft. You can clear all of it at any time.

In short

  • Only sign-in cookies

The two cookies below exist only so you can sign in. Nothing else sets a cookie, first-party or third-party, so there is no consent banner to dismiss.

  • No tracking

No analytics, pixels, ad tags, session recording or fingerprinting. Your visit is not measured or profiled.

  • Served from viduciatools.com

Fonts, images and video come from this site itself. There are no embedded players or social widgets. The one exception is the Cloudflare security check on three forms, described below.

The two sign-in cookies

The ViduciaStudio cloud (cloud.viduciatools.com) sets them when you sign in on this website. They are sent only to it, only over HTTPS, and page scripts cannot read them. Because they are strictly needed for what you asked for, they need no consent.

Cookies set when you sign in
Name What it holds How long
__Host-vs_rt Keeps you signed in. Only our servers can read it; scripts on the page cannot. Until you sign out. Without Keep me signed in, until you close the browser; with it, 30 days after your last visit and at most 90 days.
__Host-vs_dev A random identifier for this browser, so a free channel audit is counted once per browser. 400 days.

The security check. Creating an account, asking for a password reset and starting a free channel audit include Cloudflare Turnstile. It runs in a small frame from challenges.cloudflare.com and looks at technical signals from your browser to tell people from automated programs; most of the time you see nothing. It runs only on those three forms.

The password check. When you choose a password, the first 5 characters of its SHA-1 hash are sent to Have I Been Pwned (api.pwnedpasswords.com) to see whether it appeared in a known data breach. Your password itself never leaves your browser this way.

What is kept in your browser

Browser storage stays on your device and is not sent with every request the way cookies are. The site reads it only to do the job listed next to each entry.

Everything viduciatools.com stores in this browser. Every name starts with viducia.
Name Kept in What it holds How long
viducia.studio.draft Local storage The template you are building in the Template Studio, so it survives a reload. Until you start a new template or clear it.
viducia.studio.save-intent Local storage That you asked to save the draft to a new account. Until the draft is saved or you clear it.
viducia.studio.volume Local storage The Template Studio volume, once you change it. Until you clear it.
viducia.studio.analysis
viducia.studio.edit
Local storage A channel analysis or a saved template you passed from your account to the Template Studio. Until it is replaced or you clear it.
viducia.prefs Local storage Your template defaults from Settings: watermark handle, narrator, subtitle look and tone. Until you clear it.
viducia.session Local storage Which account you are signed in to and whether you chose Keep me signed in. Never a password or a sign-in key. Until you sign out.
viducia.account.pending
viducia.account.saved-template
Session storage A sign-up waiting for its email code, and the template saved straight after sign-up. Until the tab closes.

If your browser blocks storage, the site still works. It just cannot remember a draft between visits or keep you signed in.

How to clear it

Any of these works. Clearing never touches your account, your templates in the cloud or your videos.

  1. From your accountOpen Settings, Your data and choose Clear this browser. Drafts and template defaults go; you stay signed in.
  2. Sign outSigning out ends the sign-in on our servers and removes the sign-in cookie and the sign-in note from this browser.
  3. From your browserClear the site data for viduciatools.com and cloud.viduciatools.com in your browser’s privacy settings. That removes the cookies and everything in the table at once.
  4. Use a private windowA private or incognito window forgets all of it when you close it.

Pages outside this statement

This statement covers the pages on viduciatools.com. A few links lead elsewhere, and those pages have their own notices:

  • The legal texts, the withdrawal form and phone verification are served by the ViduciaStudio cloud. The Privacy Policy covers them.
  • Payments open Stripe’s own checkout and billing pages, which follow Stripe’s privacy and cookie notices.
  • The Windows app sets no cookies and no tracking. If you choose Remember me in the app, a sign-in key is kept in Windows Credential Manager.

If the site ever adds anything that is not strictly needed, such as analytics, it will ask for your consent first and this page will say so. Questions: support@viduciatools.com.
